Hey language enthusiasts! While I haven't been as active as I have wanted on my main Instagram and YouTube platforms, I know great things are coming this year! As mentioned in the previous email, I am currently getting used to making reels (and producing consistent content. YouTube improvements are coming next!). Know what I'm not doing? Studying languages. While I had so much fun living in my languages in Chicago (catch it HERE if you haven't already) two weeks ago... I still cancelled my iTalki Russian lessons 2 times in a row (probably also canceling it this week!). I haven't actually studied for 3 weeks. And you know what?I'm okay with that. Because I know that my focus is needed elsewhere to grow our wonderful community. I know I haven't "lost" my languages and will be ready to go back to them when the time is right. If you feel like you haven't been studying enough, practice being imperfect. Prove to yourself over and over again that you can bounce back, because I know you CAN! Wow, you guys. I have to say... ...last weekend has blown me away! I took a break from YouTube after getting My Adoption Story video up and running. Afterwards I hopped on a plane to Chicago and...of course I had to film more language content for you guys! My spontaneous Interview (German and French)! I was brave this weekend and spoke. Unscripted. In two languages. (would I have done this 2 years ago? Nope!) I made plenty of small mistakes, but decided to keep them in. I hope to keep on...
